Synopsis

Currently a LOW Pressure is dragging in very cold North/North Easterly Winds bringing with it frequent snow showers. The winds will be strong in places for a time so very temporary blizzard like conditions cant be ruled out. East Anglia and South East England will be worst affected with 5cm of snow possible in places with more locally perhaps. The snow being mainly showers means some will get more than others. Snow showers may form more organised bands during the Early hours in the East. Some showers will penetrate into the Midlands so a dusting or small covering is possible locally. The East Midlands however will see heavier and more frequent showers than the west. Elsewhere snow isnt really likely with only Isolated sleet/snow showers in the Sleet region but remember any showers will be most likely of snow except isolated mainly. In the North West Highlands some showers may be around at times with a mix of rain, sleet and snow. During the day showers will begin to ease as the LOW pulls away. Conditions will be tricky and extra care will be needed especially in the East. Icy patches are also a risk in some places. An update will be issued during Friday if needed.
