Snow Forecast

5% Chance of a white Christmas

Snow Forecast Issued: 2008-12-23 15:00:00
Next Forecast: 2008-12-24 21:00:00

Synopsis
There is no real change from yesterdays forecast with everywhere having a lot of cloud with only a lucky few seeing some breaks in the cloud but even this wont last long. This will be more likely in the North and West though. Towards the South and East though, the Midlands, East Anglia and the South East may have cloud thick enough form a snow grain or two but this risk is almost minimal now. There may be some mist and fog in parts too, particularly over the hills but overall it will be a cool and grey day. In the Southern Half of the UK it is likely to feel particularly cooler as a strengthening easterly breeze picks up though for the North this should remain as a Southerly/South Easterly wind for now. It will feel coolest in the South as an easterly breeze picks up so expect temperatures to be roughly 5-8c though it will feel colder in the wind. In the North it will be cool but not affected by too much of a wind so therefore expect around 4-7c. In summary, a dry and dull day will be the theme for all of the UK with just a few people seeing the odd break in the cloud. A tiny risk of a snow grain towards the South.
