Snow Forecast Issued: 2008-12-21 14:00:00
Next Forecast: 2008-12-22 12:00:00

Synopsis
There are some minor changes to today's forecast. It seems quite likely an Easterly Wind will devleop for the Southern half of the country (Mainly South of about Manchester) amongst HIGH Pressure which will particularly develop just after Christmas Day but nevertheless Christmas Day looks to be dominated by Cloud and Mist or Fog. There will be a risk of some very light precpitation in places and although this risk is low there is an outside chance of a snow grain or two which sems most likely in the East and the Midlands. The chance of this is low although not extinct currently. We will watch thie siuation over the next couple of days before the final, detailed forecast for each region on Wednesday. Expect 3-6c in the North and West and 4-8c in the South and East. Overall, Cloud and Mist or Fog dominating the weather for many with the low chance of a snow grain in the East and the Midlands.
