Next Forecast: 2008-12-20 16:00:00

Synopsis
Confidence is now High on the expected Weather for Christmas Day. It will be simply Cold but Dry across the whole of the UK but a high risk of Frost and Fog, especially where winds are calm which will be most likely around Midlands, and through the central spine of the Country from Scotland to Southern England. HIGH Pressure will be firmly over the country and none or very little precipitation is expected. Any light showers will be around the coasts only where it will most likely too mild for snow so everywhere at this time has pretty much no risk of snow. Overall, a traditional Christmas is expected with Sunshine and Fog in places with Frost by Night and Dense Fog for some. A very cool day is expected for virtually everywhere and just a little milder near the coasts. Expect 3-5c in the North and 4-7c in the South with upto 9c around the Coasts but where fog persists, upto 2 or 3c can be expected. In summary it should be Dry everywhere with Sunshine for many though a risk of Fog and Frost for many aswell.
