Snow Forecast Issued: 2008-12-06 00:00:00
Next Forecast: 2008-12-08 21:00:00

Synopsis
The Christmas period is expected to be cool and fairly settled. LOW pressure to the southwest and HIGH pressure to the northeast is expected to bring easterly winds. Therefore, colder conditions with a risk of showers can be expected in the east of the country on Christmas Day, and milder conditions further west. Snow is likely in the form of wintry showers in eastern coastal areas, and parts of Scotland. Temperatures are forecast to range from 3-7C in the East, and 8-11C in the West. In general, a cool and fairly settled Christmas is expected, with snow most likely in the east.
