Next Forecast: 2008-12-06 00:00:00

Synopsis
The Christmas period is expected to be cool and showery. LOW pressure is expected to dominate, to the west of Scotland, bringing northwesterly winds. Therefore, showers can be expected for some of the country on Christmas Day, although drier towards the southeast. Night frosts are also likely. Snow is likely in the form of wintry showers across northern and western UK, particularly on the hills. Temperatures are forecast to range from 2-6C in the North, and 5-9C in the South. In general, a cool and showery Christmas is expected, with snow possible in the north and west.
