The Christmas period is expected to be fairly mild and mainly settled. HIGH pressure is expected to dominate, bringing southeasterly winds. Therefore, mainly dry conditions are currently expected for much of the country on Christmas Day, with showers very few and far between. Fog and frost are likely. Snow is currently unlikely in most parts of the UK. Temperatures are forecast to range from 6-9C in the North, and 8-11C in the South. In general, a mild and quiet Christmas is expected, with snow unlikely at this stage.
